He has been in the Python community since 2012. He works at Facebook, where he was pivotal in getting the company to Python 3 and is a founding member of the "Python Foundation team", a team dedicated to shepherding the language at Facebook. He is also a new hire instructor, and has been working on a new thrift variant for Python 3 written in Cython and C++.
