I'm a physical oceanographer turned developer. Love teaching and learning everything regarding scientific coding and best practices, addicted to software packaging, and curious data scientist. My day job (and hobby) is contributing to open source Met/Oceanographic software. Currently I work as contractor for NOAA, writing software and blogging on how to use them. I'm a Software Carpentry instructor and open data advocate in my spare time.
