James Derrick

Based in Cambridge, UK James has been a Senior Developer Evangelist at Ansys for the past 2 years, 4 years as a Python developer at Ansys/Granta Design before that, and 4 years doing a PhD in Computational Shock Physics at Imperial College London before that. James is also a Software Carpentry Instructor and has a basic introduction to Python course available through Ansys for free to anyone that would like to learn. Intro to Python. In his spare time James is an amateur musician playing in the University of Cambridge Concert Band and also part of the Cambridge Medieval Fighters Guild as their treasurer.
