PyCon US is partnering with ShareMy.Health to provide proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination for safe attendance at our event. Registered attendees will receive an invite link via email to create their ShareMy.Health account. Attendees should complete this process before the event as no onsite registration will be allowed.

Using the ShareMy.Health Platform

1. In-person attendees with a confirmed conference registration will receive the details to the PyCon US 2022 ShareMy.Health dashboard in the first attendee email. The attendee email will be sent out around April 5th.
2. Open the invite link, sent via email, and create your account on the ShareMy.Health platform.
   
3. Complete the verification process and upload a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination card/country-issued vaccination passport/digital COVID-19 certificate. Screenshots are only accepted if your COVID-19 vaccination certificate is in a digital format. Attendees will be able to upload their information starting 30 days before the start of the conference.
   
4. Proof of vaccination will be verified by ShareMy.Health’s Center of Excellence. Attendees who are approved will receive verification via email and receive their Digital Health Pass QR code. A green checkmark will appear on your dashboard and your status will read as “Validated”.

At PyCon US

All you have to do is show a valid ID and your Digital Health Pass at Registration and you’re good to go! We suggest bringing a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card or country-issued vaccination passport/digital COVID-19 certificate just to be safe.

How do I create a Health Pass if I do not have a smartphone?

There is always a secondary screening option. Please reach out to the PyCon US staff for further instructions if you do not have a smartphone. You can email pycon-reg@python.org.

Which vaccines are verified by ShareMyHealth?

ShareMy.Health will verify any of the current WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. You can see the full list of approved vaccines here.

Can I take a screenshot of my Health Pass for entry?

No, you must show your Health Pass in your ShareMy.Health dashboard.

Is the booster shot required for verification?

As of January 2022, the CDC has included the booster shot in their definition for “up to date vaccination”. It is required that in-person attendees meet the criteria for “up to date vaccination”, meaning they have received all recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, including any booster dose(s) when eligible, to attend PyCon US. What is ShareMyHealth’s Privacy Policy?

ShareMy.Health is HIPAA and GDPR compliant and employs a variety of safeguards, including encryption of your sensitive information, and using secure connections to access ShareMy.Health and all third-party systems. Attendees are not required to upload identification to the ShareMy.Health platform. ShareMy.Health may provide reporting to your organization on your usage of the ShareMy.Health platform with your organization, including your verification status.
