Marlene Mhangami

Marlene Mhangami is the co-founder and director of Purple Lipstick a Zimbabwean non-profit organization that empowers young women to reach their full potential. Her work in Harare led her to found ZimboPy an after school coding program for girls in under served communities. Through ZimboPy coding clubs Zimbabwean girls are taught Python programming, web development and robotics and are actively engaged in the world of technology. The program also works closely with women in technology from the USA and Europe to mentor club members in creating projects that are able to solve problems in their communities.
