Events: Don't make these training mistakes! (Because I already did)

Presented by:

Description

I've been teaching programming in general, and Python in particular, for more than 20 years. During that time, I've made a huge number of mistakes -- things that make me cringe when I dare to think back at what I said and did. Fortunately, my mistakes weren't fatal to my career as a trainer, and I was able to improve.

Now, there's no way to avoid making any mistakes. In many ways, that's the best (perhaps only?) way to learn. But it's always better to learn from others' mistakes, right?

In this talk, I'll review some of the biggest mistakes I've made in my training career. While this won't stop you from making mistakes, it'll (I hope) at least stop you from repeating mine.
