What Is PyCon?

PyCon is the largest annual gathering for the community using and developing the open-source Python programming language. It is produced and underwritten by the Python Software Foundation, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing and promoting Python. Through PyCon, the PSF advances its mission of growing the international community of Python programmers.

PyCon is backed by the PSF and the revenue generated by PyCon is essential to the continued community support and operations. With the cancellation of the in-person conference for 2020 and 2021 there has been a revenue loss for the PSF. We do try to keep registration costs as low as possible in order to be accessible to as many as possible. PyCon 2021 will have a nominal registration fee for participating in order for the PSF to continue its mission. Financial Aid will be offered to allow everyone the opportunity to participate.

PyCon is a diverse conference dedicated to providing an enjoyable experience to everyone. Help us ensure this by following our code of conduct.
