A hint of linguistics fused with the geek within. I am an early stage researcher for an EU funded project on EXPloiting Empirical appRoaches to Translation ( EXPERT). I work on extracting parallel dictionaries and ontologies automatically and using them in the machine translation pipeline. I also contribute python NLTK developement, especially for the 'translate' module. Most of my time is spent playing with text data and semi-automatically cleaning them and making them openly available and manipulating them for Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications.
