I graduated from Yale in 2013 with a degree in linguistics and spent the year after doing neurolinguistics research in a lab at NYU. I was first introduced to python in a computational linguistics class my junior year of college. It wasn't until this past July, however, when I started Hacker School (a three-month long retreat for programmers) that I began using python regularly: I got to use Flask to write webapps, pygame to write retro games, and dug deeper into python than I ever had before. In December, I joined Etsy as an engineer on the internal tools team.
