Michael Newman

Michael Newman is the Lead Programmer of Post-Newsweek Stations and creates websites for the 6 television stations owned by the Washington Post.

The dynamic nature and fast deployments necessary to get the news online and available to over 6 million unique visitors continue to reinforce the use of Python inside of newsrooms.

Michael is a trained journalist who quickly found that his ability to program and communicate technical terms clearly to news people filled a niche as the world is going digital.

Currently Michael is data warehousing and processing large amounts of data to determine the next big thing for the distribution of news (Big Hint: it will certainly involve the device in your pocket.)
