David Beazley

David is the author of the Python Essential Reference (Addison-Wesley) and upcoming third edition of the Python Cookbook (O'Reilly and Associates). He is also a well known speaker and tutorial instructor at past PyCon conferences and most recently gave keynote presentations at both PyCon'2012 and EuroSciPy'2012. Dave has been programming Python since 1996 where he applied it to problems in scientific computing and created well-known tools such as SWIG (http://www.swig.org). Currently, he owns and operates Dabeaz, LLC, a Chicago based company that provides advanced Python training and consulting.
