Gökhan Sever

Gökhan is currently a PhD student in atmospheric sciences program in the University of Wyoming. His research focuses on investigating observed and modeled aerosol and cloud interactions within thermodynamical and microphysical contexts. Following his self introduction to Python in the solitary days of Grand Forks winter in 2009, he has been actively using the language and its scientific ecosystem for his data analysis, modeling, and visualization jobs. He was one of the sponsored students who participated in the SciPy 2009 and PyCon 2011 conferences. He carries a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Atmospheric Sciences. He blogs at pycloud.blogspot.com about his Python and various other research/personal interests. His atmospheric sciences focused coding work can be accessed from http://code.google.com/p/ccnworks. He is passionate for bicycling without caring much about weather conditions, so much so that he plans on biking across the States before graduating.
