Brian K. Jones

Brian K. Jones is a Senior Operations Developer at myYearbook.com, where he writes a lot of Python code in support of a 35 million member social network. He's also worked for other startups (AddThis.com), government installations, enormous banks, and in academia. He's co-author of the upcoming Python Cookbook, Third Edition (O'Reilly), and co-author of Linux Server Hacks, vol. 2 (O'Reilly).

Brian is also the founder and co-organizer of the Python User Group in Princeton (NJ), a participant in PhillyPUG, a member of LOPSA, USENIX, IEEE, ACM, and his local Linux user group, and a frequent speaker, blogger, and contributor to various periodicals.

Brian also created the now-sadly-defunct Python Magazine, and served as Editor in Chief for php|architect Magazine, contributing editor for Linux.com, and columnist for (also defunct) TUX Magazine.

Brian brews beer, plays guitar, tries to grow his own food, and spends time with his beautiful wife and daughters in New Jersey.
