Madison Ficorilli

Madison Ficorilli (Oliver) is a staff security manager at GitHub, leading the advisory database team that helps the Python community and broader open source ecosystem identify and respond to vulnerabilities. She has advised projects in the GitHub Secure Open Source Fund on security best practices and helped facilitate Python security open spaces at PyCon US 2024 and 2025. She serves on the CVE Program Board and participates in Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF) working groups, advocating for vulnerability transparency and disclosure. Her experience spans product incident response at GitHub and vulnerability coordination at the CERT Coordination Center at Carnegie Mellon University. Passionate about education, Madison formerly taught undergraduate cybersecurity at Duquesne University and serves on Penn State's College of Information Sciences and Technology alumni board.
