Samuel is a tech engineer -proudly Guatemalan- who has worked for a company in the Guatemalan electricity market for the past 10 years. A family man and father of three sons, he has been passionate about technology since childhood. He has collaborated with various technology communities, non-profit organizations and universities -both in Guatemala and abroad- participating as an instructor, speaker, and workshop facilitator at numerous events since 2023. He has been teaching topics related to the software development, data analysis, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity fields.
He was a featured speaker at the most recent edition of the AWS Community Day in Guatemala and Panama, as well at the Python Exposition Day and JConf in Guatemala. He firmly believes that communities and education can empower individuals and societies. He loves teaching others and giving talks, conferences, tutorials and workshops about real-world and experience-based technology applications (many of them implemented with Python) as a volunteer at both virtual and on-site events.
Samuel hopes to contribute and share -here at PyCon US- some of the most innovative ideas and solutions he has implemented to solve real-life problems using Python and its powerful tools and libraries ecosystem.
