Emma is a CPython Core Developer working at NVIDIA on Python and packaging, both internally and in the open source community. She is a long-time mypy core team member, and the author of two Python Enhancement Proposals introducing the compression.zstd module in Python 3.14 and the py.typed file for packaging. She co-leads the Rust for CPython project, an effort to introduce the Rust programming language into CPython.
She is the mother of a mischievous cat and a feisty hamster.
