Hannah Stepanek

Hannah Stepanek started out her career at Intel where she wrote Python validation code for the Memory IO on Intel Processors. She also gained experience there working with Pandas (a big data analysis library for Python) and wrote a book called Thinking in Pandas on the subject. After Intel, she worked at a startup called Hypothes.is (a tool for annotating the web) where she gained frontend experience with React.js. She then spent a couple years working on tool automation for Security, including New Relic's new security product, before transitioning to the New Relic Python Agent Team. You may have seen some of Hannah’s talks at local meetup groups in Portland or some larger conferences such as PyCon and PyGeekle. She has also guested on several popular Python podcasts; Python Bytes and Real Python. In her spare time, she enjoys playing board games, working on her house, photographing her four cats, and competing in jumper shows on her horse.
