Forrest Sheng Bao

Forrest Sheng Bao, PhD, currently is an AI Researcher and Machine Learning Engineer at Vectara, a CBInsight Top50 GenAI startup. He is on leave from his professorship of Computer Science from Iowa State University, a top-50 engineering school in the US. His research journey covers many topics, including medical AI, natural language processing (NLP), and electronics design automation (EDA). His current research focus is text generation, including the detection and mitigation of hallucination in machine generated text. His previous work on medical AI has been reported by MIT Technology Review and Lancet Neurology.
