We use h5py and MovingPandas to show how to write simple Python workflows to track the movement of NASA satellites and extract from their measurements, fields that can be plot along the tracks and be used to assess the performance of geophysics and atmospheric models. We focus on the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) on board the Aura satellite.
