Description

Applications now require the capability to modify data in real time. Similar to how we need immediate information about the toppings going on a taco, we need a streaming platform that efficiently informs us about the precise location and timing for fulfilling orders. Apache Kafka serves this exact purpose, ensuring that data is managed and relayed at the right place and the right time.

In this session, we'll taco ‘bout how Kafka is the de-facto standard in data streaming. We'll discuss its scalability, fault tolerance, and the capability to fetch data from multiple sources and distribute it to one or more consumers that allow you to create robust, fast applications.

Then, we’ll give a practical example of Kafka with FastAPI and SQLModel driven-application to track taco orders in real-time to help make better business decisions. We’ll show how you can integrate aiokafka to make sure your stream keeps up with the lunch rush and look at reshaping our streams using Apache Flink to understand how our business is going on.

Let’s Taco bout it!
