Jacob Deppen

Jacob is a data scientist working in the agriculture sector with an academic background in archaeology and GIS. He is a maintainer of three open source projects: pandas-vet, a Flake8 plug-in for linting pandas code; prospect, a tool for creating Monte Carlo simulations of archaeological field surveys; and The Carpentries' Unix Shell lesson.

Jacob enjoys being a part of the Python community. He has helped organize the SciPy Conference Sprints and has been active in the Puget Sound Python community (PuPPy), helping to organize the Scientific Computing interest group meetup.
