PyCon 2021 Financial Assistance

Philosophy/Outreach

Financial assistance is provided to welcome those who might not be able to attend otherwise. PyCon US 2021 will be a virtual event, so this year’s financial aid program offers a limited number of complimentary conference registrations. We actively encourage people to apply for financial aid and welcome applications from attendees whose employment status has been affected by the pandemic. Our goal is to support diversity and provide equity to attendees and to attract Python developers at all experience levels from around the world.

The financial aid program is about the community nurturing itself by making itself more accessible at PyCon US. It is true to the spirit of PyCon US by helping to make the information and interactions available to everyone.

The financial aid program aligns directly with the Python Software Foundation’s mission to promote, protect, and advance the Python programming language, and to support and facilitate the growth of a diverse and international community of Python programmers.
