Michele is currently working on a GIS certificate from Gainesville State College. She has a MS in Environmental Science from Columbus State University, a BA in Environmental Soil Science from the University of Georgia, and a BS in Environmental Health from the University of Georgia. She is currently employed by the by the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division as an Environmental Specialist. She works with the North Georgia Ambient Monitoring Unit, where most of her work focuses on biological assessments and monitoring (macroinvertebrates and diatoms). One her task is to map sampling locations for macroinvertebrates and diatoms, along with determining reference condition of streams based on GIS work. Michele currently resides in Stockbridge, GA.
