Random Thoughts

I'm going to be at pycon for the conference plus 3 days of sprints. I'd be quite interested in just getting sometime to chat about healthcare. Is there anytime convenient for the rest of you that we can plan on? (I'm busy Friday and Sunday evening, but could get together anytime during the day, or for a meal, or during the Sprints.) -- PhilHassey

I'm interested in ways to parse Health Insurance contracts and how to translate them into machine readable rules -- Teresa Van Dusen

I will be at Python selling shirts with my wife. Come visit. I currently program Python fulltime to parse and process EDI-X12 health care claims and spent 5 years as a firefighter/first responder in the Vilonia (Arkansas) Fire Department. I'm very interested in how we can use Python in virtually any area of the Health Care Field. -- Greg Lindstrom

2/22 (Sunday) I missed the meet last night, sorry, due to business concerns (my wife is a vendor at PyCon). I met two more people interestes in healthcare work, specifically EDI-X12 record generation and processing. Just about the last thing I need to do is start another project, but I think we could write a really killer app if we put our minds to it. I'll post to the Python list when I get back to Arkansas because I know a lot of work has been done with X12 (Jeff Rush??) and we do not need to duplicate work; just extend existing work. If you are interested, contact me at gslindstrom over at gmail or stop by our table at PyCon today. --greg
