Game Sprint

I'm going to run a Sprint wherein participants write a game. This could be a collaboration or could be competitive. I'm not sure of the details yet.

Perhaps we could write Strike Ops: http://pygame.org/shredwheat/strikeops/proposal.html

Or perhaps we could have a "game jam" akin to existing events where we just try to write as many games along a certain theme as we can in the 4 days.

In order to increase interest, I could run an intro-to-pygame session at the start of the sprints. This would be a 30-60 minute presentation that I've given a number of times previously. This would assume I can get access to a projector.

Jeff Rush is also looking to run a Game Programming Clinic and Online Gaming BoF during the conference, having a session each night.

I will definitely be involved in the Friday BoF once the PSF meeting is concluded. I'd be happy to give the intro presentation I mentioned above. I hope to be having a look at the OLPC and then board-gaming on Saturday and then back for the Game Programming BoF on Sunday as a lead-up to the Sprint.
