Interactive Data Visualization With Chaco Presenter: Peter Wang <pwang@enthought.com> Affiliation: Enthought, Inc. Chaco is an open-source plotting application toolkit. Its components can be assembled into anything from relatively simple static plots to complex, interactive GUI for data manipulation. Enthought has been using Chaco for several years to develop commercial applications in geophysics, microrheology, and various other domains. In the past year, Chaco has undergone a significant redesign and rewrite. In this talk, I will present an overview of the new architecture and discuss how it facilitates the construction of complex, interactive data visualizations. I will then walk through some applications built with Chaco, highlighting interesting aspects of each one. Although I will have a set of slides and a structured talk, I would like to conduct this session in an informal Q&A format. Participants are encouraged to discuss their current data visualization problems and wishlists! |
