Climbers at PyCon 2007

Introduction

For those of us needing a climbing fix we could plan an evening (or two) out to the local climbing gyms. If you are someone who has never climbed before you should be able to join us as well. This may be a fun and less formal way to spend time with our brothers and sisters in Python.

Participants

Please add your name to the list if you will be attending PyCon 2007 and you are interested in participating in Climbing-related activities:

Suggested Activities

  • Let's meet on Friday at 5:30PM in the front lobby. Canyon's closes at 9pm, which should leave about 3 hours to climb. If you bring a snack then we can have a late dinner at a brew-pub or equally good restaurant afterwords. I can provide transport for up to three other climbers.

Yet to be planned Activities

  • Indoor Climbing at eXposure, about 15 minutes north of Dallas
  • The closest climbing I can find out-of-doors is 1:30 away. At 100 Park Road 71, Mineral Wells, TX Looks to be some top-rope style stuff to 5.11a. I have a top-rope setup which I will be bringing, but 3 hours of driving may not be practicable. This may be an option for those of you participating in the sprints.
