Community Booths at PyCon US
Each year, we set aside booth space for nonprofit organizations and community open source projects that serve the Python community and the broader open source ecosystem. If that describes your organization or group, we’d love for you to apply for one of our complimentary Community Booths. Read on for more details!
What is the application process?
Please fill out the brief form here, no later than February 5, 2025.
We will aim to respond to your application by the end of February.
If your application is accepted, we will send you an agreement to sign, including limitations on liability and a commitment to the PyCon US Code of Conduct.
Once you have signed your agreement, we will assign you a location on the expo hall floor and begin issuing your benefits, including voucher codes for your complimentary tickets.
What is included in a Community Booth?
- 10x10 booth space on the PyCon US Expo Hall floor during the Thursday evening Opening Reception (May 15, 2025) and all day Friday and Saturday of the main conference (May 16-May 17, 2025).
- Two (2) complimentary full conference passes and two (2) complimentary expo hall only passes to PyCon US 2025.
- Listing with your logo on the PyCon US website
What is not included in a Community Booth?
- Travel funding is not included. We encourage you to apply to the PyCon US Travel Grant program. For more information visit the Travel Grant page. Travel Grant applications are open until February 18, 2025.
- We unfortunately cannot offer additional conference passes beyond the two full complimentary conference passes and two complimentary expo hall only passes included.
What are the expectations for Community Booth participants?
- We ask that you plan to staff your booth for all or substantially all of the Expo Hall hours:
- Thursday - Opening Reception
- Friday
- Saturday
- If you are interested in a community booth but do not think you can staff the booth for those hours, please get in touch with sponsors@python.org to inquire about other options.
- As applies to all PyCon US attendees, you must agree to follow our Code of Conduct and Health and Safety Policy to participate.
- It is not a requirement, but most Community Booths bring a sign, banner, and/or a branded tablecloth to identify their booth as well as stickers or other swag.
Please note that we have a hard limit of 10 Community Booth spaces, and we typically receive more applications than we are able to accommodate. So even if your organization or project meets our criteria and does great work in the community, we may not be able to offer you a space. We’re grateful for your time and interest and for everything we do, and we hope to be able to host you at a future event.
