Friday PyCon Dinners

# PyCon Dinners! Join us **Friday April 10th** at **6pm** after the first day of talks for great food, great company, and great speakers. If you are new to PyCon, this is a great opportunity to make new friends early on in the conference. Both dinners have an audience participation aspect designed to get people talking — which we hope will be especially valuable to first-timers at PyCon, which was 60% of attendees last year based on the post-conference survey! If PyCon is already an annual event for you, then you know that the conference continues with great conversations long after the talks end for the day — so pull up a chair! ------------------------------------------------ ## PyCon Dinner Speakers

Brandon Rhodes
Brandon was surprised last year when he was asked to run PyCon’s first-ever trivia night, and almost as surprised when asked to do the same thing again this year. In between the three courses of the meal, Brandon will ask questions about the Python language. Some attendees will thoughtfully sip their drinks, others will gesture and debate, but in the end a member of each team will come forward with their team’s completed answer sheet to learn — at the end of three rounds — which team’s knowledge of Python has indeed proved the most trivial! Brandon himself is a regular speaker at PyCon as well as at regional Python and Django conferences, and will be serving as the PyCon Chair when the conference goes to Portland in 2016–17.
