Talks:

The call for talks is officially closed. We received almost 400 proposals to present talks or panels at PyCon 2012. We are currently deep into the process of sifting through the proposals to find the very best ones to present at PyCon 2012.

Tutorials:

The tutorials team is pleased to announce that the PyCon 2012 tutorials have officially been selected and announced. The tutorials will be presented on the two days prior to the main conference - March 7th and 8th.

Posters:

The poster session has been a highlight of recent PyCons, and we are pleased to announce that we have 48 posters this year which will be presented during the poster session the morning of March 10th.

Important Dates

  • December 5, 2011: Tutorials announced.
  • December 9, 2011: Registration opens and applications for financial aid are available.
  • January 1, 2012: Conference schedule announced.
  • January 10th, 2012: Financial aid awards announced.
  • January 15, 2012: Poster proposals due.
  • February 1, 2012: Posters announced.
  • March 7-8, 2012: Tutorial days at PyCon.
  • March 9-11, 2012: PyCon main conference.
  • March 12-15, 2012: PyCon sprint days.
