Ms. Laura A Creighton (Open End AB) bio
Laura Creighton is a well-known figure in the Python community and one of the founders of the PyPy project. She lives in Göteborg, Sweden where she is a founder of Open End AB. She is currently the Chair of the Europython Society, which exists to organise the annual Europython Conference. http://www.europython.org/ In the past, she was a vice-president of FFII, the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure, http://www.ffii.org/ which is most well known for fighting to keep software patents out of Europe. The End Software Patents Coalition, which has FFII as a founding member, is currently working on getting software patents out of the USA. Interested parties may want to volunteer. Laura is interested in all aspects of design and workmanship, not only those related to computer language design and implementation.
