Peter Skomoroch (Juice Analytics) bio
Peter Skomoroch is a Washington, DC based research engineer currently working on projects in Information Retrieval and Computational Finance. Before moving to DC, he was a Python advocate within the Biodefense Systems group of MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where he focused on machine learning algorithms, event simulations, sensor networks, and web based decision support systems. Prior to joining the lab, he worked for several years at a Cambridge startup called Profitlogic (acquired by Oracle), where he first started using Python as an analyst developing forecast models and software systems for retail price and revenue optimization on large data sets.
